HYDRAA Protects Parkland in J.Hills and Govt Land in Dundigal
Hyderabad: HYDRAA said it has taken action to protect 1,600 square meters of parkland in Jubilee Hills and 4.15 acres of government land in Dommara Pochampally.
HYDRAA said the park area has been identified in the 11,700 square meter land layout developed by Pradeep Kumar Lahoti and Subhash Kumar Lahoti. Some locals forged documents claiming that the parkland belonged to them and encroached on it. Authorities reported that a case was filed against the rapists.
Following appeals that the land might be subject to further encroachment, authorities fenced the land and installed boards claiming the land was protected by HYDRAA.
In Dundigal, the 4.15 acres of government land that HYDRAA says it is protecting at Dommara Pochampally is spread across Surveys 120/1 and 120/28. It has been subject to many attacks over the years.
Despite the government removing encroachments from time to time, the collector of Medchal-Malkajgiri has written a letter to HYDRAA to protect the land from further encroachment. Heeding the letter, authorities fenced the land and installed boards declaring that the land belonged to the government and was protected by HYDRAA.
