‘I can kill you at any time:’ Surgeon’s fatal threats to ex-wife before she was found dead with her new partner at home, new documents show

A surgeon allegedly threatened and harassed his ex-wife and her new husband before shooting her to death in their Ohio home, according to court documents.

Michael McKee, 39, was arrested on January 10 for the murders of his ex-wife Monique Tepe, 39, and her dentist husband Spencer Tepe, 37, on December 30.

The couple’s children were inside the house at the time of the murder, but they were not harmed.

Wednesday’s court document revealed Monique told friends that McKee was abusive and threatened her life multiple times while they were married in 2015, even after they divorced in 2017. alphabet 7.

“McKee told Monique that he could kill her at any time, that he could find her and buy the house next to her, that she would always be his wife,” a witness told detectives, according to the court file.

Another witness alleged that McKee strangled his ex-wife and “forced unwanted sexual intercourse” on her during the marriage.

It was also revealed in the filing that on that tragic night in December, McKee’s phone was left unattended at his workplace, a hospital in Illinois, for 17 hours.

Investigators believe McKee was seen outside his ex-wife’s home in Weinland Park, a neighborhood outside of downtown Columbus, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Columbus Dispatch.

Investigators discovered surveillance footage that allegedly showed McKee outside his wife’s home on Dec. 6, about three weeks before Tepes was found fatally shot.

The couple was away that weekend to attend the Big Ten Championship Game in Indiana.

Friends who were with the couple at the time later told law enforcement that Monique left the game early that night because she was upset about something involving McKee.

McKee was allegedly driving a silver SUV; investigators had spotted it multiple times near his ex-wife’s home before he was killed.

A sticker with a stolen Ohio license plate was found on the SUV’s window, the affidavit said.

It was claimed that the registration of the vehicle was also linked to the addresses where McKee lived in the past and the hospital where he worked.

Law enforcement had previously said they believed the couple was killed just before 4 a.m. Their bodies were found about six hours later.

According to court documents, Monique told friends and family that McKee was abusive and threatened her life multiple times while they were married in 2015, even after they divorced in 2017.

Monique was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and Spencer suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Their one-year-old son, four-year-old daughter and dog were found safe at home.

The incident was reported to the police after Spencer did not show up for work at the dental office that morning.

The owner of the practice is Dr. Mark Valrose called police from his vacation home in Florida to request a welfare check, according to dispatch records previously reported by the Daily Mail.

Another caller, previously identified as a friend named Alexander Ditty, called just before 10 a.m. to report that he ‘could hear kids inside’ and ‘thought he heard one of them yelling,’ records show.

Moments later, Alex was heard telling officers there was ‘a body in there’, ‘lying next to the bed’ and ‘blood next to it’.

Detectives ruled out murder-suicide after 9mm bullet casings were found at the scene.

Investigators said they found security camera footage seen in the photo above that showed McKee near the Hill residence weeks before he was killed.

McKee was arrested in Chicago, Illinois, after a 10-day manhunt. He was later extradited to Ohio, where he was indicted.

Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said after McKee’s arrest that he had a gun with him when he was taken into custody.

“Several guns were seized from McKee’s property, and there is a preliminary connection linking one of the guns to the murder,” the police chief said at a news conference.

‘What can we say, this was a targeted attack. ‘This was a domestic violence related attack as we know McKee is Monique Tepe’s ex-husband.’

“At this point, we believe we have the person responsible for the murders of Monique and Spencer Hill, and that person is Michael McKee,” Bryant added.

Monique and McKee, pictured above, were briefly married in 2015. The pair were “incompatible,” he said in court documents.

According to court records previously reviewed by the Daily Mail, Monique said in her divorce complaint that she was “incompatible” with her then-husband.

Ahead of the memorial service for the couple, a relative told the Daily Mail that McKee’s arrest was ‘absolutely not a shock’ to the family and that they had been expecting it.

‘We are all breathing a sigh of relief because they caught him,’ they added.

McKee remains in custody in Franklin County and is being held without bail.
