Iconic Lisbon Streetcar Derails, Killing 15 People
LISBON, Portugal (AP) – Emergency Services, one of Lisbon’s earth marks and an electric tram with a great draw for tourists who were removed from the rail on Wednesday and injured 18 people.
The National Institute of Medical Emergency, Five of the wounded, said that five of the wounded were in serious condition and between a child’s injured. He said that the number of unknown wounded is foreign.

The reason for the accident was immediately unknown. It is reported that it occurs around 18:00 at the beginning of the hurry time in the evening
The Portugal government said that an investigation into the reasons will begin for the reasons when the rescue operation ended.
Tram, known as Gloria, can carry more than 40 people, sit and stand. It is widely used by Lisbon inhabitants.
Technically called funicular, the tram is known as Alevador and Gloria. Two trams run parallel to each other while serving up and down the hill on a curved, traffic road along a few hundred meters (yard).
It is classified as a national monument.
Lisbon hosted approximately 8.5 million tourists last year and tram is a popular center of attraction. Long tourists usually occur for short driving.
