Man, 31, arrested over synagogue attack

A man was arrested at Manchester Airport on suspicion of terrorism offenses relating to a synagogue attack in the city earlier this year, police said.

Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz died in the attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on October 2, 2025, while the other three men were treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Manchester Police said a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of carrying out, preparing and instigating acts of terrorism after arriving on an earlier flight.

With the arrest, the total number of people arrested regarding the attack increased to seven.
