Igor Tudor leaves Tottenham after just seven games in charge

Igor Tudor left his role Tottenham Hotspur Interim head coach after just 44 days and seven games.

Spurs said they had “mutually agreed” to part ways with the Croatian “with immediate effect”.

The decision came a week after the damaging 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on 22 March; this result left Spurs in 17th place and just one point above the relegation zone with seven games remaining.

Tottenham have suffered five defeats in seven games in all competitions since Tudor replaced Thomas Frank, who was sacked until the end of the season on February 14.

Spurs said: “An update on the new manager will be provided in due course.”

They also confirmed that goalkeeper coach Tomislav Rogic and physical coach Riccardo Ragnacci have left the team.

Tudor, 47, did not undertake post-match media duties following the defeat to Forest due to the death of his father.

“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their tireless efforts over the last six weeks,” Spurs said in a statement.

“We also acknowledge the pain Igor has recently experienced and send our support to him and his family at this difficult time.”
