IIT-Madras, Kanpur to assist CBSE in addressing post-result portal issues: Dharmendra Pradhan

The move comes amid complaints from students and parents over glitches in the CBSE re-evaluation process.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed teams of professors and technical experts from IIT-Madras and IIT-Kanpur to examine all technical issues reported since the launch of post-exam re-evaluation services this year and assist CBSE in ensuring a smooth process, the ministry said.
“The expert team will implement focused technological improvements to systems and technical workflows, and in particular examine portal stability and server performance,” he said.
“The team will also review the robustness of the overall IT Infrastructure and help take corrective measures to ensure login authentication/user access systems/payment gateways are accurate and streamlined,” the ministry said in a statement. he said.
In the statement, Pradhan reiterated that “student interests are paramount” and that all necessary remedial measures should be taken on priority by CBSE to ensure a “transparent, efficient and student-friendly system”.
Pradhan on Saturday also sought a detailed report from CBSE on complaints regarding technical glitches faced by students during the re-evaluation process. Sources said the minister took serious notice of issues related to server outages, payment gateway glitches and operational glitches reported during the process.
“Taking serious notice of complaints from students and parents regarding technical outages during the CBSE re-evaluation process, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has sought a detailed report on server outage, payment gateway glitches and operational disruptions,” a source said.
“It has been reported that the authorities have been instructed to explain the reasons behind the technical malfunctions, the preparatory measures and the accountability of the institutions involved in managing the process,” the source added.
