Ilaiyaraaja accepts CM Stalin’s request to set Sangam literature to music

Music Maestro and Rajya Sabha MP Ilaiyaraja said on Sunday, Prime Minister MK Stalin will definitely fulfill the request of Sangam Literary Works into music.

Maestro, who responded to the Prime Minister’s request at an event commemorating the 50 years in Mr. Ilaiyaraja’s film industry, said that he was overwhelmed by the way the event was organized and was very satisfied and could not find words to express his feelings. He said he was surprised how the Prime Minister naturally remembered literary works. “The words of the Prime Minister encouraged me more, only I can do,” he said.

Mr. Ilaiyaraja said he had moved deeply and could not believe that the Prime Minister, the Chief Secretary and other officials made such efforts to organize the function. “I was overwhelmed and could not speak,” he said in a video published in X (formerly called twitter).

He asked the Prime Minister why such an incident was organized for him. “Many people can see it differently. Why such a love? Maybe because of my music. He can only answer. But I don’t expect such an accusation. He organized the event. Maybe he saw the symphony as a great success. I believe that he must have thought it was the duty of honoring the world government.

Maestro said that the actors crowned the effectiveness of the participation of Kamal Haasan and Rajinicanth, and crowned the participants more about the 50 years in the symphony or film industry. “But the event made my fans happy,” he said.

Mr. Rajinikanth and Mr. Kamal Haasan, the complaints – only the best songs for the other – he added that he created unforgettable music for both films. Tamil said he would organize another event to let the people of Nadu listen to the symphony.
