I’m 61 but often mistaken for being in my forties. This is my exact routine to stay looking so young – and one of them costs absolutely nothing

Last week, Sharon Williams was sitting behind a taxi in Bali on the way to celebrate a 70th birthday of a close friend.
He made a speech with the 61 -year -old driver and said it was an important milestone for his friend. He then asked for his age – and was shocked.
61 are you? I thought you were 35 years old! ‘He breathed.
Sharon was proud of the man’s compliment, but he admits that he hadn’t heard for the first time.
Thanks to young -skinned and fit physics, it is usually mixed with someone in his 40s, even younger.
“ There was a young man who looked at me the other day in the facility swimming pool, which I thought it was exciting! ” He tells me.
Originally from England and now in Sydney, the mother of three rely on the extremely young appearance to three non -three units.

For Sharon, fitting to the end of the 50s wasn’t about the appearance – survival was about flexibility and longevity.
On May 8, 2014, his world was reversed when he was diagnosed with breast cancer on his 50th birthday.
“ Breast cancer has a good gift. You don’t realize how well you have until you have a risk of bed, ” he says.
“ For me, my children’s fear of dying and falling behind was worse than illness and treatment. This fear was grinding – so I did my duty to live long enough to see my youngest from high school. ‘
Although there were four operations, cancer returned in 2016 and again in 2018. After comprehensive treatment, radiotherapy followed, eventually considered without cancer.
The experience reshapened Sharon’s appearance on health – especially after a 59 -year -old call to wake up.
‘I was getting out of the car on the Randwick race track and Louis Vuitton Topukum stuck in a crack on the sidewalk – I haven’t had any drink yet!’ Laughing.
It was a bad drop and broke three ribs. The accident ‘changed his life,’ says Sharon, because he had to be more powerful if he would remain in his 60s and beyond.

Sharon was very shocked about my autumn body, so I started to classes with Will and Mobility from the total lift studio – he’s my Godsend, Sharon says Sharon.
‘I’m not a manic exercise and I’ve tried a lot for years – the most consistent swimming. Now I trust my movement much more. ‘
Sharon says exercising with others keeps him consistent and competitive.
Ocean swimming
Every morning at 6 am Sharon goes to Manly Beach to swim with friends.
A tradition between a swimming group – and admits that it may be difficult to get out of bed in the depths of winter – a tradition between the swimming group.
‘There are times I don’t want to go, but there is a word between the swimmers, “You’ve never regret swimming.” And this is very true ‘he says.
‘It is very revitalizing and awesome after going into the water. You feel younger and more surprising for the rest of the day. All benefits outweigh the cold start. ‘
He also believes that exposure to minerals in sea water greatly improves the skin texture.
“If I have a scratch, I enter the water and went within a few days, or he says.
‘So ocean swimming gives me friendship, skin health, mental health, emotional health, power, exposure to nature and a beautiful day.’
Force training and Callisthenics
Since he broke his ribs, Sharon is working with an instructor to strengthen.
Focusing on powers and calistenics, he training in the gym for 45 minutes a week three times a week.
“ I develop gradually every week. When I first started, I can only hang it from a bar for a few seconds, but now I can lift my asup legs for two to three minutes’ he says proudly.
Perhaps the most impressive, Sharon, hangs from a rod, rotating your body weight backwards and hangs upside down ‘Skin The Cat’ exercise.
It is very liberating to do a lot of ’61 years old. I never thought I could do it! ‘ Rays.
Currently, he works to make a jaw, but there are other exercises in his routine, push -up, rowing, mouth fight and more.
Sharon also runs dance lessons, pilates, yoga and beach running.
As for his young skin, he owes his first 30 years in England before he migrated to Australia.
Many Australians think that they are ‘for a long time,’ for a long time ‘because they paid the price of a youth spent outside in their later years.
‘My mother had a great skin,’ he adds. Sharon also makes sure to wear SPF sunscreen every day – ‘even in winter’.
Although he has endured cosmetic treatments, including Botox, Sharon says that his most important thing is to maintain a consistent skin care routine.

As for the skin care, Sharon has a wide collection in the bathroom cabinet (picture).
‘I enjoy taking care of my skin and my program is super fast, my favorite staples Dermalogica and La Prairie – pure luxury,’ ‘he says.
Sharon also does not drink alcohol very often and follows what he eats to prevent accidental weight gain.
One morning, he starts the day with something other than Latte and prefers a intermittent fasting diet.
For lunch, Sharon has a salad with boiled eggs and hazelnuts or avocado toast. Dinner is a source of protein that is usually served with mixed vegetables.
It is simple to advise that you think it is too late to your age: you are never ‘too old’ to start having a better, fit, healthier life.
Everything is about discipline. Of course I’m not a saint, but I’m trying – and I know my body needs less food to live ‘says Sharon.
‘At the end of the day, everything is about living consciously and minimizing bad surprises with a deliberate and careful life.’
