I’m A Celebrity viewers praise Ashley Roberts, 44, for refreshing conversation about children as Scarlett Moffatt reveals fertility struggles

I’m A Celebrity viewers have praised Ashley Roberts for admitting having children is ‘not at the top of her list’.
In Tuesday’s episode, 44-year-old Pussycat Doll was tested by 62-year-old Sinitta. The eighties singer asked Ashley if becoming a mother was possible in the future.
The refreshing conversation led to Scarlett Moffatt, 35, speaking about her fertility struggles as she tried to get pregnant with her two-year-old son Jude.
Ashley told the camp why having children isn’t a priority for her right now.
He said: ‘It’s not at the top of the list. ‘I don’t know, I guess I’m too driven and I like to travel and I don’t feel a strong passion to be a mother.’
Sinitta, who has two adopted children, said: ‘I always tell people that unless you really want to because it takes everything, doesn’t it?’

Scarlett said: ‘It’s your life and a lot of people who shouldn’t actually be parents become parents because they don’t really want to.’
The former Gogglebox star later told the Bush Telegraph: ‘For me, becoming a mother changed my whole life and it’s something I’ve wanted for a very long time.
‘For other women it doesn’t work, and I think it’s good for Ashley, and equally good for me who wants children. We should all live our best lives, no matter what that looks like.’
Scarlett, who is engaged to former police officer Scott Dobinson, told the camp about her fertility struggles before she got pregnant with Jude.
She said: ‘Me and Scott tried to have Jude for four years, it took too long.
‘And the day we found out I was pregnant, we were going to the fertility clinic the next day.
‘This happens to a lot of people. I think it’s not because you don’t feel stressed, but because you think everything will be okay.
‘I think when you have a child everyone asks you: “Do you have any more children?”

They wrote: ‘Certainly some people choose not to have children. That’s okay too.
‘Let’s not shame Ashley for not having kids at the top of her list. I call him fair game.’
‘People don’t have the luxury of having children these days.’
‘I think as a society we put too much pressure on women to have children.’

‘I self-diagnosed, ‘Maybe I can’t have children because this isn’t happening…’
‘We booked in to see a fertility doctor to check if everything was OK.
‘This was for November and on my birthday in October I remember blowing out my birthday candles and wishing for something like ‘I really wish I could have a baby’ to come true.
‘Two weeks later I found out I was pregnant. ‘It felt nice to email the fertility doctor, canceling the appointment.’
