Donald Trump’s nephew has claimed the president launched military action “for one reason and one reason only.” His comments came after the US launched large-scale strikes against Iranian targets as part of Operation Epic Rage, which the White House described as the result of Trump’s “bold order” that brought “overwhelming force” against the country.
The conflict had devastating consequences across the region. Reports indicate that at least 787 people, including 165 female students, were killed in Iran, while conflicts rapidly escalated following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has retaliated with a wave of drone and missile attacks targeting several countries across the Gulf, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Qatar and Cyprus, raising fears that the conflict could spread further into the Middle East.
In a video titled Trump Declares War to Save Himself, published on the YouTube channel Mary Trump Media, he accused the president of having “no interest” in helping ordinary Iranians: Mirror reported.
“The Iranian people have suffered long and terribly under the cruel and oppressive authoritarian theocracy currently in power,” he said.
“They deserve to be free and they deserve the ability to determine their own system of government.
“But the man who bombed their country has nothing to do with them and no plan to create the conditions in which they can be free.”
The psychologist, who has long criticized his uncle, also claimed that there was never a clear strategy behind the military tension.
“There was never a plan,” he said, arguing that his uncle had a tendency to “wreak havoc” and expected others to deal with the consequences.
He added that Trump has rarely faced personal consequences for what he described as his “reckless and ill-considered actions.”
“There’s only one reason for Donald, there’s only one reason,” he said.

“He’s in trouble and he knows it. This isn’t just about changing the subject. This is about keeping himself and the world from finding out what an incompetent, immoral, compromised fraud he is.”
He also claimed that Trump brought the United States into the war, partly at the urging of Saudi Arabia and Israel, but said the decision was also in line with his own political interests.
The Israeli government defended the escalation of military tensions. Defense Minister Israel Katz called the strikes a “preemptive strike” designed to eliminate threats to Israel.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington was aware of Israel’s plans and was acting preventively against a possible Iranian attack.
President Trump also defended the operation. Iran’s “threatening activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our overseas bases, and our allies around the world,” he said in a post on social media platform Truth Social.
He also claimed that Iran was developing long-range missiles that could threaten American allies in Europe and potentially on the US mainland.
However, according to CBS News, a previous assessment by the US Defense Intelligence Agency suggested that Iran would not have missiles that could reach US territory by 2035.
