Inaugural Global Economic Cooperation forum to held in Mumbai Feb 17-19

The summit is organized by the Future Economic Cooperation Council (FECC), a non-profit platform, in partnership with the ministry of external affairs and the Government of Maharashtra.
“Situated at a moment of global economic transition, GEC 2026 is designed to address deeper structural changes that are reshaping global trade, investment flows and economic governance,” the Future Economic Cooperation Council (FECC) said in a statement.
With structured participation across infrastructure financing, advanced manufacturing, technology systems, energy transitions and resilient supply chains, the event will highlight collaboration beyond trade, according to the statement.
“Through Global Economic Cooperation 2026, India is coming forward to bring together governments, investors and industry leaders to shape practical pathways for cooperation in capital, infrastructure, technology and energy that reflect the realities of a multipolar world and our shared responsibility for global prosperity,” said Priyam Gandhi-Mody, Director, Future Economic Cooperation Council.
High-level plenary meetings and closed-door dialogues will focus on economic corridors, investment partnerships, digital connectivity, ESG frameworks and governance of emerging technologies – areas currently central to economic sovereignty and global stability.
Planned as an annual meeting, the forum will bring together ministry leadership, independent and institutional investors, and CEOs from critical sectors such as infrastructure, logistics, ports, clean energy, artificial intelligence, fintech and advanced manufacturing. According to the FECC, the inaugural edition aims to lay the foundation for renewed approaches to global economic cooperation.
