The Casares City Council condemned the incident and demanded more reinforcements from the Spanish national guards to fight drug smuggling on the coast of the country.
Major Juan Luis Villalon said that the council has repeatedly called for more civil servants to patrol on the shores to prevent such incidents from being again.
The alleged incident on Saturday is the last of the drug trafficking in Southern Spain, where merchants usually evacuated posts on the beaches.
