India approves first hydrogen-powered train operations on Jind-Sonipat line in Haryana – The Economic Times Video
India has approved operations of the first hydrogen-powered passenger train under the Northern Railway. The hydrogen-powered DEMU train will run on Haryana’s Jind-Sonipat route and will use hydrogen fuel cells instead of diesel or electric traction systems. Officials said that the train’s technical and security permits have been completed, and commercial passenger services will start only after the compliance procedures are completed.
