New Delhi: On Thursday, the US State Department said that India is a “strategic partner” and that the US continued to witness the tension in the midst of the tariff dispute of relations between the two countries.

When asked that China and other BRICS nations are trying to lead a return to US trade measures, the US State Department said that dialogue with India will “continue”.

During a press briefing, by responding to journalists, US Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tommy Pigott said, “In terms of India, what I can say is very clear in terms of concerns about trade imbalance, you see that we have it when we come to Russian oil.”

In Washington, when asked if there was a “worsening bonds” with India and whether the new Delhi was concerned about the possibility of “approaching” to China, Pigott stressed the importance of addressing differences through direct participation.

“This is about an honest, full and clear dialogue about the real concerns that this administration is very clearly summarized by the President. To deal with these concerns through actions, talk about them, whether the purchase of Russian oil or trade imbalance. It is important. The president was very clear. About a dialogue, about a clear and full dialogue, about a clear and full dialogue, this is clearly the dialogue.

In the early hours of the day, US President Donald Trump said that there would be no trade negotiations with India until a dispute on tariffs is resolved, following the decision to double the management of the administration on Indian imports.

When he was published by the moment in the Oval Office, he expects the talks to continue in the new 50% tariff light.
“No, not until it was solved,” he replied.

On Wednesday, the White House ordered an executive order that applied 25 percent more points for Indian goods and increased the total tax to 50%. The administration showed the national security and foreign policy concerns, especially India’s ongoing Russian oil imports.

Emir claims that these imports offer a “unusual and extraordinary threat to the US directly or through intermediaries and justify urgent economic measures.
