India launches new e-Business visa for Chinese nationals

The visa can be applied for installation and commissioning, quality control and basic maintenance, production and IT. India and China have agreed on several people-focused steps to reset their ties in recent months.
India has introduced an e-Manufacturing Investment Business Visa called eB-4 Visa, which Chinese businessmen can apply to travel to India for certain business activities, including installation and commissioning of equipment.
A recent announcement on the website of the Indian Embassy in Beijing stated that the eB-4 Visa, introduced on January 1, can be applied online without visiting the embassy or agencies.
The new visa will be issued in approximately 45 to 50 days and will be allowed to stay in India for up to six months.
According to the consultant, the visa can be applied for installation and commissioning, quality control and basic maintenance, production, IT and ERP development, training, supply chain development for permanent vendors, facility design and development, senior management and executives.

How to apply
Indian companies wishing to invite Chinese nationals for eB-4 Visa activities can also apply by registering on DPIIT’s NSWS (National Single Window System) portal at https://www.nsws.gov.in/ under the ‘Login-Business User Login’ tab.
It was stated that applicants can submit their applications for eB-4 Visa online on the https://indianvisaonline.gov.in portal under the tab ‘Apply for e-Visa by the Bureau of Immigration, along with mandatory supporting documents’.
