India lifts export ban on de-oiled rice bran

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the government announced the abolition of export ban for greasy rice bran used in the cattle feed industry.
The renewable oil industry called on the trunk sea to remove the export ban to protect domestic processors and increase the income of farmers.

The ban was applied last year.
In a separate notification, DGFT, dairy products, onions, potatoes, some vegetables, rice and wheat, such as agricultural commodity exports such as Bhutan, immediately in force and further orders are exempt from valid restrictions and prohibitions, he said.

In other words, DGFT said that the export of 100 tons of wheat (DWR-162) from Dharwad University to Indonesia through the National Cooperative Export Limited (NCEL) through Mangalore Sea Port, said it was permitted as one-time exemption.
However, the decision is subject to certificate by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Dharwad University or the Karnataka government.
Currently, there are export restrictions or prohibitions in commodities such as wheat.
