After India’s loss to England in the second T20I in Manchester, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan said the team needed to be better at understanding the conditions and added that the three no-balls bowled by spinner Ravi Bishnoi made things easier for Jacob Bethell, who changed the game with brutal batting in the difficult innings.
Kishan stated that the team playing the match was “excellent” and supported the quality of their bowlers, highlighting their performance on flat decks.
He said the team must understand the conditions and continue to improve.
“Just when you don’t win, a lot of thoughts come, a lot of ifs and buts come.
“But I also think they are all very quality bowlers who have done well in the past and have made their teams win in different situations, even bowling on very flat tracks and still taking wickets,” he said.
“From a team perspective I don’t think we can do anything different. But yes, as I said, we need to understand what the conditions are here, how we can improve and what we can do better.”
“The thoughts will keep coming but at the end of the day we need to understand the situation as we play outside India and what the field wants from us as a batsman and bowler.”
