India Needs Vision, Not Division

Hyderabad:Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said India “needs a vision, not division” and that the country should follow positivity and not negativity. “Progresses need to be discussed and our efforts will be in this direction,” he said.

Akhilesh Yadav, who had a brief chat with reporters after meeting BRS working president KT Rama Rao, senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao and others at former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s house in Banjara Hills, said that he was willing to meet Chandrashekar Rao but it could not happen. “I will come back and meet him very soon,” he said. “Every time I come to Hyderabad, I meet them, there is a bond of unity with them,” he said.

Yadav, who is in Hyderabad as part of his tour covering different states where ‘Vision India’ summits are held, will attend the city’s event on Saturday.

Following Rama Rao’s comments that BRS will take inspiration from Akhilesh Yadav, whose Samajwadi Party emerged as the third largest party in the Lok Sabha in last year’s elections with 37 MPs, and BRS will also work to regain its place, Akhilesh Yadav said that ups and downs are normal in politics. “You never know when people will stand with you. What we have to do is stand with the people and their support will come,” he said.
