India probing alleged dumping of steel from China, Indonesia, Vietnam

New Delhi, October 3 (PTI) India, after the complaint of indigenous players China, Indonesia and Vietnam’den certain steel goods allegedly evacuated an investigation.
The branch of the Ministry of Commerce, the General Directorate of Trade Solutions (DGTR) launched an Anti-Damping investigation against “300 and 400 series cold-rhaped flat products” from these three countries.
The Indian Stainless Steel Development Association (ISSDA) made the same application on behalf of domestic players.
The applicant claimed that emptying affects them. They demanded the implementation of anti-dumping task for the import of these goods from these countries.

The Ministry of Finance makes a final decision to impose the task.
DGTR also investigates the evacuation of a number of other goods from China, including wallpapers, borosilicate tables and kitchen glassware and nylon.
A similar study continues against the evacuation of medical examination rubber gloves from Malaysia and Thailand.
Anti-dumping probes are carried out by countries to determine whether domestic industries have been injured due to the increase in cheap imports.
As a counter precaution, they impose these tasks under the multilateral regime of the Geneva -based World Trade Organization (WTO). The task aims to provide fair trade practices for domestic producers against foreign producers and exporters and to create a flat playground.
India and these countries are members of the WTO.
India has applied anti-dumping tasks to various products to deal with cheap imports from various countries, including China.
