India to host U.N. troop contributing countries’ chiefs conclave from Oct 14-16

Delegates from countries contributing troops to UN peacekeeping missions around the world will gather in Delhi from October 14 to 16 for a key meeting to be hosted by India, officials said on Sunday (October 12, 2025).
In the statement made by the defense ministry, it was stated that the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries (UNTCC) Chiefs’ Meeting will see the participation of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Deputy Secretary General for Peace Operations (USG, DPO) Jean Pierre Lacroix.
UNTCC serves as a vital forum to address operational challenges, evolving threats, interoperability, inclusivity in decision-making, and the role of technology and education in strengthening UN peacekeeping.
“India, one of the largest contributors to UN missions, is convening this high-level forum to deliberate on operational challenges, evolving threats, share best practices and build common understanding of future peacekeeping.” he said.
Delegations from countries sending troops to UN peacekeeping missions around the world are expected to arrive here on October 13.
The statement stated that the Indian Army will host the conclave between October 14-16, which will bring together senior military leaders of 32 countries that play an important role in UN peacekeeping operations.
Officials said the conclave reflected the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).
In plenary sessions, chiefs and heads of delegations will put forward their points of view. They said advocacy exhibitions for joint capacity building, bilateral meetings and cultural exchanges will also take place during the conclave.
Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Fiji, France, Ghana, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Poland, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Senegal, It was stated that they included Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Uruguay and Vietnam.
“This event will be a testament to India’s unwavering commitment to global peace, stability and shared prosperity,” the statement said.
