Mothers and babies at risk of harm in ‘toxic’ NHS cover-up culture, health leader to say | NHS

The investigation, which was first announced in June and directed by Valerie Amos, will use the courses learned from previous investigations to create a “net action set için to improve NHS maintenance.

Massey will tell the Patient Safety Congress of the Journal of Health Services in Manchester on Monday that it is “deeply worried about doctors to make life and death decisions in the environments where they are afraid of speaking.

“These are the factors that lead to covering sincerity and astonishment over honesty. And the greatest patient damage occurs in these cultures,” he says.

“Everyone in this room will be aware of the scandals of recent years. This is one of the highest risky and high pressure areas of medicine. The consequences of wrong things can be particularly tragic and comprehensive, and may affect both a mother and baby in order not to mention their wider families.”

GMC data shows that more than one (27%) from four obstetric and gynecology trainees, a patient, a senior doctorate – a higher than other fields of other medicine.
