Indian, Tanzania Navy officials discuss bilateral maritime engagements

The first edition of the Indian Navy – Tanzania People’s Defense Force Naval Personnel Talks was successfully concluded at Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, an official said.

Meanwhile, the indigenously designed and built Indian Navy’s Guided Missile Stealth Frigate, Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sahyadri, participated in the sea phase of Exercise Malabar 2025 from 13 November to 17 November; During this exercise, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Visiting Board Search and Seizure (VBSS), artillery fire, en route replenishment and inter-deck helicopter operations were carried out.


The four-day fast-paced exercise also included Sea Rider exchanges between participating ships to share best practices and improve mutual understanding among navy personnel, Indian Navy Spokesperson said in a post on “INS Sahyadri participated in the naval phase of Exercise Malabar 2025 from 13 to 17 November. The four-day fast-paced naval phase consisted of Anti-Submarine Warfare, Visiting Board Search and Seizure (VBSS), gunnery.
