PC punched in Manchester Airport brawl ‘absolutely terrified’

PA MediaA police officer told a jury that he was “absolutely terrified” after he punched an attack suspect at Manchester Airport.
The Great Manchester PC Lydia Ward experienced a broken nose in the incident in the terminal 2 parking share station area on July 23 last year.
20 -year -old Mohammed Fahir, butaz and his brother Muhammad Amaad 26 -year -old is accused of attacking. The Great Manchester, both men from Rochdale reject the allegations.
PC Ward said he remembered the hearing, after a “really strong” blow to his face, “he fell to the ground and everything was darkened.”
The Court heard that PC Ward and two colleagues were approaching Mr but on a ticket machine after noting that a man appropriate to his description was a customer in Starbucks Cafe.
The jury claimed that Mr. Butaz resisted, and his brother, Mr Amaad, is said to intervene as he claimed that the prosecution of the officers gave the officers a “high violence”.
PC Ward said: “Mr. But I was trying to hold the arm and take it behind, so I could get some handcuffs for him.”

PC Ward said that other people in the payment station area were “shouting” and “film on mobile phones”.
He said: “Nobody came to help. I felt everyone in that room was against us. To be honest, I was scared.”

The images taken from a video camera worn in the body were stolen to the jury showing a bloody and crying PC ward that was relieved by a colleague after the incident.

He is also accused of the PC Cook attack and the attack of Abdulkarem Ismaeil in Starbucks.
It is claimed that Mr. Amaad attacked PC Marsen and caused real physical damage.
Both men deny claims.
