The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFAT) says there are at least 15 new Zealanda currently imprisoned in the United States. A MFAT spokesman said they could not provide any more information because of privacy. The Trump administration has been applying to immigrants throughout the country since he took office in January. Most of the pressure focused on the Latin community in the United States, while foreign nationals from other countries, such as South Korea, were targeted.
