The aggression from both teams was evident, but it was San Antonio that made the most of these moments, and that started in the first quarter.
Spurs got off to a hot start, taking a nine-point lead after the first quarter and taking the score into double figures in the first half, to the delight of the home crowd. Then, in the third quarter, the Thunder struggled to make shots when they started turning the ball over, something the Spurs had been capitalizing on all season.
San Antonio recorded 25 of the Thunder’s 20 turnovers and also found success in offensive moments.

At one point the Spurs were up 25 points and it’s always nice for a team to rest their starters in the fourth quarter with a win.
Victor Wembanyama returned to his efficient ways on the court, leading the Spurs with 33 points (11/22) while making three three-pointers, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists. There were three blocks at the other end.
However, Stephon Castle (13 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists), Devin Vassell (13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) and De’Aaron Fox (12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists) contributed well to the victory in the first five. The Spurs also had six bench players score points, including Dylan Harper, who finished with seven points and five rebounds.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a poor shooting night for the Thunder; He only hit six of his 15 shots, but he also made seven free throws. He recorded four rebounds, seven assists and four turnovers for Oklahoma City.

As always, the Thunder had solid contributions off the bench, but it wasn’t up to their standards. Players like Aaron Wiggins and Jared McCain, who played an important role in the victory in Game 3, shot 3 of 21 from the field and scored a total of eight points.
The West’s top two seeds will face off Tuesday night at 8:30pm ET.
