Three years after he was convicted of sex crimes, Jeffrey Epstein rubbed shoulders with the world’s richest men at a so-called billionaires’ dinner.
House Democrats released 68 photos from Epstein’s mansion on Thursday, including images taken at the Edge Group’s annual dinner in 2011.

Some of the newly unearthed images matched exactly the photos published on the internet. Edge website These images were allegedly taken by Microsoft’s former Chief Technology Officer Nathan Myhrvold, who was previously mentioned in the Epstein files.
Other photographs in the dump appear to have been taken in the same style as Myhrvold’s photographs, though they are apparently from the personal collection of the Epstein estate.
It’s unclear which photographer took Epstein’s photos, given that the late financier’s estate handed over thousands of photos to House Democrats without providing any context.

Footage released by the House Oversight Committee revealed that New York Times columnist David Brooks (right) attended the dinner and apparently sat next to Sergey Brin (left, background) during the meal.
Epstein was a guest at the 2011 event even though he had pleaded guilty to two prostitution-related charges in Florida.
After his arrest in 2019, the Edge Group, a nonprofit organization that brings together scientists, philosophers, artists and technologists to discuss cutting-edge ideas, deleted records of him attending the dinner from its website.
The 2011 Billionaires Dinner was held in New York City, where Epstein was among the attendees of the star-studded event.
The House Oversight Committee released photos of Epstein, Brin, Brooks and Kamangar at the event. They were the only participants photographed in the file.
It’s unclear why they chose to release this selection of photos or whether Epstein’s estate released other photos from the dinner.
Other guests at the dinner included Musk, Bezos and Microsoft’s Craig Mundie, who boasts a big smile in a photo on the Edge website.
Google was represented by Brin, software engineer Lori Park, and Marissa Mayer, who served as Yahoo’s CEO from 2012 to 2017.
Lucy Page Southworth, who has been married to Google co-founder Larry Page since 2007, also attended the meeting.
Bezos, Mundie, Park, Mayer and Page Southworth appeared in dinner photos on the Edge website, but their photos were not in the Epstein files.
This photo of David Brooks was included in the treasury of the House Oversight Committee. You can find the full image on the Edge website, where Nathan Myhrvold is the credited photographer.
The dinner was also attended by leading names in the scientific world, such as 23andMe co-founder Anne Wojcicki, computer scientist Danny Hillis and Tony Fadell, known as the ‘father of the iPod’.
Participating artists included musician Peter Gabriel, actress Talulah Musk, and Italian businessman Jean Pigozzi, an investor, art collector and photographer.
Mexican businessman Ricardo Salinas Pilego, who represents the Grupo Salinas television conglomerate, and literary agency CEO Max Brockman were also photographed at the event, as were venture capitalist Zack Bogue.
Edge also posted smiling photos of University of British Columbia Environmental Studies associate professor Jennifer Jacquet and Participant Media founder Jeff Skoll.
None of these people were pictured in the Epstein files.
Meanwhile, Edge Group appears to no longer host its annual Billionaires Dinner, the last of which was held in 2015.
Interest in the billionaires’ dinner surged again Thursday after the House Oversight Committee released a slew of new Epstein files on Thursday.
The latest batch of documents included sickening images of the disgraced financier surrounded by women and disturbing images of handwritten messages written on a woman’s body, such as ‘she was the Lola in trousers’ and ‘she was the Polly from school’.

These expressions are quotes from Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita, which tells the story of a middle-aged man’s sexual obsession with a young girl, and are also depicted in the background.
Among other newly released images:millionaire Bill Gates Posing with women with redacted faces and noted philosopher Noam Chomsky on Epstein’s private jet.
The Microsoft founder was photographed with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, in a previously published photo.
Gates, who asked for contributions from the financier for his philanthropic efforts, described his relationship with Epstein as a ‘big mistake’.
The cache also includes photos of filmmaker Woody Allen and former Donald Trump strategist Steve Bannon; both were featured in an earlier photo release.
The latest set of photographs does not appear to depict illegal behavior by any of the subjects.
But a screenshot unrelated to The Edge incident shows part of a text exchange in which an unknown sender discusses recruiting young women.
‘I have a scout friend who sent me some girls today. But he wants $1000 per girl. Now I will send the girls to you. Maybe someone would be good for J?’ the article says.
The screenshot includes a partially redacted physical description and the line ‘I am 18 years old’ but does not offer any names or a clear indication of who is speaking.

Democrats selectively released 68 photos along with dozens more in recent weeks; all taken from the collection of 95,000 unseen photographs at Epstein’s estate.
The images released on Thursday came before a legal deadline for the US Department of Justice to release the so-called ‘Epstein files’.
The law, called the Epstein Files Transparency Act, requires the Justice Department to make records related to Epstein publicly available in a searchable format by Friday.
Tens of thousands of records related to Epstein and his ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell have already been made public through civil and criminal lawsuits in the United States.
Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal prison in Manhattan, New York, in August 2019 while awaiting a hearing on sex trafficking charges. His death was ruled a suicide.
