Marjorie Taylor Greene goes scorched earth against Trump for BETRAYING Americans as she breaks cover after he branded her a traitor

Marjorie Taylor Greene launched a scathing tirade against President Donald Trump on Sunday morning, accusing him of betraying the American people.

The Georgia congresswoman and former MAGA stalwart appeared on CNN’s State of the Union with host Dana Bash for the first time since Trump branded her a traitor over a series of public disputes, including the release of the Epstein files.

As the divide in the Republican Party widens, Greene took the opportunity to disparage the president for welcoming Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara to the White House this week.

Trump laughed and joked with Al-Sharaa in the Oval Office; yet the Muslim leader has long been sanctioned as a designated global terrorist.

The Saudi-born leader joined Al Qaeda in Iraq just before the US invasion in 2003. He was captured by American forces and imprisoned for five years until 2011; A $10 million bounty has since been placed on his head.

Greene referenced this on Sunday, saying the President’s actions are an embarrassment and a slap in the face to the thousands of veterans who fought in the Middle East.

He attacked Trump for inviting him to the White House on the 250th anniversary of the Marine Corps.

In her latest attempt to attack Trump, Greene emphasized that she disagrees with Trump and is allowed to do so as someone who obeys her own voters, not party leaders and big-dollar donors.

Speaking specifically about Trump’s meeting with Al-Sharaa, Trump noted that it was “very hurtful” that he “honored the President of Syria, who is an Al Qaeda terrorist and wanted by our government with a $10 million bounty until March of this year.”

“I think this is very hurtful to the great men and women who served in the Middle East and were sent there, and to the great men and women who served in the Middle East, many of whom were killed, injured, and live to this day with post-traumatic stress disorder from fighting Al Qaeda,” Greene added.

Greene refrained from calling herself ‘America First’ rather than Trump when prompted by Bash, but noted that ‘promoting H1B visas to replace American jobs, replacing American students with 600,000 Chinese students… are not America first positions.’

The Georgia Congressman also added that he would be ‘happy to see Air Force One parked and stay at home, with nothing in the White House other than a constant focus on a domestic agenda that will help the American people in perpetuity.’

In the wide-ranging interview, which lasted about 20 minutes, Greene also doubled down on her push for the release of Justice Department files on financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, a known collaborator of top government, media and business leaders in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

But he argued that nothing in the files would harm Trump, according to the female victims he spoke to and gave a platform to share their stories.

‘I am with these women. “I stand with rape victims, I stand with children who are in terrible situations when it comes to sexual abuse, and I stand with survivors of human trafficking and those trapped in sex trafficking,” Greene told Bash, adding that she would not apologize and would also continue to play her “small part” in getting the files released because “rich and powerful people” shouldn’t be protected if they do something wrong.

Bash also questioned Greene’s calls for politicians to tone down their rhetoric after the Congresswoman revealed she had seen a significant increase in threats after Trump branded her a “traitor.”

When asked specifically about her past dealings with ‘White Nationalist’ Nick Fuentes, whose conference she spoke with in 2022, Greene stated that she stands for everyone’s rights to free speech and thinks it is vital that journalists like Bash and Tucker Carlson continue to ask questions and advance public discourse.

Greene also called the assassination of conservative activist, top Trump ally and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk a wake-up call for the impact vile online rhetoric can have in the real world.

“I would like to humbly say that I regret participating in this toxic policy, it’s very bad for our country and it’s something I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated,” Greene told Bash.

‘I am only responsible for myself, my own words and actions,’ he continued, adding that he was working to ‘put down the knives in politics’ and focus on finding solutions to problems that plague Americans of all stripes.

“No matter what side of the aisle we are on, we have much more in common than we have differences, and we need to be able to respect each other in our disagreements,” Greene added.
