Inter-caste couple marries at CPI(M) office after groom rescued from kidnapping in Tiruvarur

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, a marriage between the caste became serious at the Indian Communist Party (Marxist) Office in Thiruthuraipoondi on Vinayaka Cathurthi Day.

According to the police, the bride, a graduate graduate holder in the Tiruvurur region, near Thrithaiipoondi Varambiyam’s Airdha, the last seven years in a relationship with Madatur Sanjaykumar groom in Pududukottai. Mr. Sanjaykumar has a bachelor’s degree in the field of business and was working in a private company in Tiruchi.

The couple did not belong to the same community, but on August 27, their parents agreed to have their weddings at a leading Hindu temple in Tirarurur region. The invitations were printed and the relatives of the bride and groom were invited.

However, Mr. Sanjaykumar’s uncle, who objected to his unions, reportedly kidnapped him to prevent the wedding. Later, a complaint was filed with Thiruthuraipoondi police and asked for help to watch and save Mr. Sanjaykumar.

He was rescued by the police and was brought to the Thirutturaipoondi Police Station on Vinayaka Cathurthi Day, and that evening, the couple’s wedding was held at the CPI (M) office in Thiruthuhaipoondi.

According to the party state secretary P. Shahanmigam’s post on X, the marriage party was seriously seriously in the presence of Tirarur Regional Secretary T. Murugiyan by IV Nagarajan.

In addition, a petition seeking protection for the couple was sent to the Thiruthuraipoondi police by the party.
