SIT probing examination anomalies carries out checks at Kerala PSC headquarters

The special investigation team (SIT), probing alleged malpractices in the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) examination system, conducted checks at the PSC headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, July 20, 2026.

In the fourth round of checks conducted by the SIT, led by Inspector General (IG) Ajeetha Begum, the team mainly examined the software used to carry out the inspections.

The team was accompanied by IT experts to review the exam software, which includes an On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. PSC’s Internal Vigilance Wing had detected anomalies in the valuation of 10 questions in the examination for the post of Chief (Industry and Infrastructure) in the State Planning Board.

According to the interim report submitted by the observation officer, the answers given to nine questions by any of the 228 candidates were not evaluated due to the error in evaluating these questions in the OSM system.
