Iran Found New Supreme National Defence Council Following Israel’s June Attacks

Teheran: The Iranian state media said on Monday that Iran had established a new defense council after the attacks by Israel and the US in June.
In the report, Iran’s highest security body, the country’s highest security organ, the High National Security Council, President Masoud Pezshkian decided to establish the High National Defense Council, which will be chaired.
The Council will address the defense plans and increase the abilities of Iran’s armed forces. The report will also include the president of the parliament, the chairman of the judiciary and the chiefs of military branches and the relevant ministries.
Defense, Intelligence and Foreign Ministries are expected to be a member of the Council, but the report did not give these details.
Iran’s decision is following a 12 -day air war, which led to the death of approximately 1,100 people, including Israel and the US military chiefs and commanders. Shortly after air strikes targeting Iran’s large nuclear facilities, the ceasefire is in force.
During the war between Iran and Iraq in the 1980s, Iran had a similar council that left about 1 million losses on both sides.
