Iran sends chilling assassination threat to Trump – ‘You will be eliminated’ | World | News

Iran has warned Donald Trump that he could be “eliminated” in what appears to be a threat to assassinate the US President.
Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, reposted on X a message Mr. Trump shared on Truth Social that appeared to be a threat to the US President.
Larijani said: “The Ashura-loving Iranian nation is not afraid of your threats on paper. Even those who are greater than you cannot eliminate the Iranian nation. Take care of yourself, otherwise you will be eliminated!”
This came after Mr Trump wrote that Iran “could be hit 20 times harder than it has already been hit” if Iran “does anything to stop the flow of oil in the Strait of Hormuz”.
He said: “If Iran does anything to stop the flow of Oil in the Strait of Hormuz, it will be hit TWENTY TIMES HARD than it has already been hit by the United States. We will also eliminate easily destructible targets that will make rebuilding Iran as a Nation nearly impossible – Death, Fire and Fury will reign over them.”
“But I hope and pray that this does not happen! This is a gift from the United States to China and all the nations that heavily use the Strait of Hormuz. I hope it is a much appreciated gesture. Thank you for your interest in this matter.”
As the war continued, oil prices fell sharply on Tuesday, March 10. Brent crude fell more than 6% in early trading as fears of a prolonged supply crisis in the Middle East began to ease. In Asian trade, Brent crude oil fell to about $92 per barrel, while US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude oil fell to about $88.

Monday saw the oil price make its biggest single-day gain in six years, with Brent crude rising more than 20%.
Iran also warned that “not even a liter of oil” would be allowed to leave the Middle East if US and Israeli attacks continued, and the warning came after Tehran launched a deadly attack on Bahrain, hitting a residential building in the capital Manama, killing a 29-year-old woman. Eight more people were injured.
Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to supply oil and gas to European countries as the war in Iran caused prices to rise rapidly despite the heavy sanctions imposed after the invasion of Ukraine. With this move, the Russian leader appeared to take into account global economic concerns regarding the blocked Strait of Hormuz.
