Iran targets NATO country in horrifying WW3 escalation | World | News

NATO shot down the missile launched by Iran against Türkiye.
Turkish defense ministry officials confirmed that the missile entered the country’s airspace on Monday before being shot down by NATO air defense systems deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
There have been three previous interventions by NATO systems during the Middle East conflict, causing Ankara to protest and warn Tehran.
A NATO spokesman said the alliance intercepted Iran’s missile heading towards its member country, Türkiye, adding that it was “prepared for such threats and will always do what is necessary to defend all Allies.”
The latest attack came after US President Trump threatened to destroy Iran’s electricity and desalination facilities and oil wells if an agreement was not reached “immediately” to open the Strait of Hormuz.
He wrote on Truth Social platforms that the US was in “serious talks” with a “more reasonable regime” to end the war, but would take action if an agreement was not reached.
Iran continues to deny that any negotiations are taking place with the United States.
The spokesman for Iranian foreign minister Esmaeil Baqaei claims that Iran “has not held any negotiations with America in these thirty-one days.”
“What has happened is that a request for negotiations has been submitted along with a series of proposals from America that have reached us through some intermediaries, including Pakistan,” he said in an online statement.
“Our position is very clear. Currently, while America’s military aggression and occupation continues unabated, all our efforts and capabilities are directed towards defending Iran’s core.
“We do not forget the betrayal of diplomacy twice in less than a year.”
