Temperature breaches 40°C in 5 districts of Karnataka

There seems to be no respite from the intense summer heat as five districts in the state recorded maximum temperatures above 40°C on Sunday.

According to data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), four districts in north interior Karnataka and one district in south interior Karnataka saw the mercury rise above the 40°C mark.
