Man Suspected of Murdering Wife, Two Daughters in Hanamkonda

-Warangal: Investigations into the death of a woman and her two minor daughters in a swimming pool in Punnelu of Inavolu Mandal in Hanamkonda district took a different turn with the police suspecting premeditated triple murder, allegedly linked to a dispute over the woman’s pregnancy.

Suspect Azharuddin had initially claimed that his wife Farhat (26) and daughters Umera (8) and Ayesha (6) had accidentally drowned in the swimming pool. However, the evidence collected by the Inavolu police points to a premeditated conspiracy over Farhat’s pregnancy.

Sources revealed that the main reason for the murder was Azharuddin’s obsession with a son. Farhat’s parents claim that the suspect forced her to have two abortions in the past after learning that the fetuses were girls.

The conflict broke out three months ago when Farhat became pregnant again. It was claimed that Azharuddin, who learned that his next child would be a girl, pressured Farhat to have an abortion once again. But Farhat refused, resulting in a triple murder on Wednesday night, his elder daughter Umera’s birthday.

Technical evidence strengthened the murder theory. Investigators discovered that CCTV cameras at the swimming pool had been deliberately turned off shortly before the incident; This suggests that there was a concerted attempt to destroy any evidence.

While Azharuddin claims that he found the bodies floating in the pool after returning from the toilet, Farhat’s family believes that he forcibly strangled Farhat and then killed the two children in the same manner to prevent them from testifying against him.

The suspect is currently in police custody and is being questioned by senior officials. The official announcement of the charges is expected to be made after the detailed forensic report from MGM hospital, where the autopsy of the three bodies was performed.
