Iran war news: Trump says Iran can expect ‘complete destruction’ and ‘certain death’ in next wave of strikes

Donald Trump issued a serious warning to Iran after saying that Iran’s surrender was a dream that the United States would “take to its grave.”

The US President and the Iranian leadership have been barraging each other via social media following a series of violent attacks in the Middle East, including the attack on Dubai’s international airport.

Mr Trump responds by saying US will ‘strike’ [Iran] “It’s very difficult,” he said, adding that “total extinction and certain death” was being seriously considered for “regions and groups of people” that have not been targeted so far.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said the United States had committed a “clear and hopeless” crime following the attack on the freshwater treatment plant on Qeshm Island, which is vital for supplying fresh drinking water to the Persian Gulf.

The facilities are protected under international law and Mr Araghchi said any consideration of negotiating with the US was “almost immediately destroyed” by US President Donald Trump.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian apologized on Saturday for attacks on neighboring countries and said any attacks were due to a lack of communication and would be stopped.

Despite apologies, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed the nation and stated that they were now “at war” following the closure of Dubai airport following drone attacks.

Following the explosion at one of the busiest airports in the world until a week ago, terminals were evacuated and all operations had to be stopped.

“We are in a time of war right now,” Mohamed told Abu Dhabi TV on Saturday.

“The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh, we are not easy prey.

“The UAE is attractive, the UAE is beautiful, it is a role model, but I tell them not to be misled.

“I promise everyone that we will emerge stronger than before,” Mr. Mohamed said.

The UAE, like other Gulf countries, has been exposed to Iranian attacks for a week, and Iran has responded to US-Israeli military attacks with attacks on US military bases in the region.

The UAE has been attacked more frequently than other Gulf countries.

According to its own reports, the country’s air defenses intercepted approximately 200 missiles, 1,100 unmanned aerial vehicles and numerous cruise missiles.

President Trump also announced that U.S. forces have destroyed 42 Iranian naval ships in recent days and disabled most of the country’s air power and telecommunications systems.
