Question Time audience reacts as Andrew stripped of ‘prince’ title
The taping of BBC’s Question Time was interrupted on Thursday when news emerged that Prince Andrew would be stripped of his title of ‘prince’.
Viewers in Bradford applauded as presenter Fiona Bruce announced the news. The show later made an unscheduled episode about Andrew.
Reacting to news of the programme, Culture Minister Lisa Nandy said: “As a first reaction, I really support this step. [King Charles has] taken.”
It comes after Andrew’s links to Jeffrey Epstein came under the spotlight and pressure increased on the Royal Family. Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing.
