Iran’s president Pezeshkian orders internet restored after war suspension

Tehran: Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian has ordered the resumption of international internet access in Iran, which has been suspended since the US and Israeli attacks on the country, local media reported on Monday.
“The decree aiming to return internet access to its pre-January state was forwarded by the president to the Ministry of Communications,” Iranian news agencies Tasnim and Fars reported.

Authorities shut down the internet during large-scale anti-government protests that peaked in early January, then suspended it again on Feb. 28 at the start of the Middle East war.
Since then, the public has only had access to local platforms and websites.
