IRFC expands beyond Indian Railways with ₹13,527-crore refinancing deal for Hyderabad Metro

For IRFC, the agreement marks another important step in the calibrated diversification of its financing portfolio beyond traditional rail assets towards high-impact utilities infrastructure with a strong relevance to national development. The financing institution aims to finance approximately 15 large-scale projects, each requiring at least one investment. ₹15,000 crore in the next three years. The aim of this strategy is ₹3 trillion in total sanctions in four years after expanding its operations beyond Indian Railways from FY26.
