Is Kim Jong Un retiring? South Korea spies reveal – not wife or son, but THIS 13-year-old girl is set to seize North Korea’s nuclear throne! | World News

North Korea’s notorious dictator, who has long kept his nuclear-armed country and much of the world in danger, appears to be considering a dramatic shift in power, according to new intelligence reports. After years of maintaining a tight grip on the secretive state, Kim Jong Un may be preparing to loosen his grip and hand over the reins to a successor few at home or abroad expect.

South Korean intelligence service claims

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) concluded that Kim Jong Un has chosen his daughter Kim Ju Ae as his successor. This conclusion was presented at the South Korean parliamentary session by lawmaker Lee Sung-kwon, who said that this conclusion was based on the changes observed in the young girl’s position in North Korea.

Who is Kim Ju Ae?

Kim Ju Ae is the daughter of Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol-ju. He was born around 2012 or 2013 and is about 13 years old.

Why not his son or his wife?

Kim Jong Un is believed to have a son, but the child has never been publicly disclosed or shown in state media. His wife, Ri Sol-ju, has appeared in official ceremonies for the past few years but has never taken a political role. Ju Ae, in contrast, has been quietly but consistently thrust into the spotlight with a deliberate pattern that points in one direction according to the NIS.

Timing of the evaluation is very important

The timing of this assessment is very important. North Korea is preparing to hold the Korean Workers’ Party Congress, the country’s most important political event that takes place every five years, later this month. Kim is expected to use this to set policy goals for the next five years and further consolidate his authority.

The NIS says that if Kim Ju Ae attends this congress in any official capacity, it will significantly help confirm his status as the chosen successor.

A family rewriting its own rules

Kim Jong Un came to power in 2011 after the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, and continued the ruling dynasty established by his grandfather, Kim Il Sung, dating back to the founding of the country. If Ju Ae is officially chosen as successor, she would be the first woman in the Kim family to assume leadership and possibly the first female leader in North Korean history.

The North Korean government has not made any official statement regarding any succession plan.
