Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Train To Run Via Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam

Bengaluru: The Railway Board has approved the re-routing of the Kalaburagi-SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express train via Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, South Western Railway said on Wednesday.
He added that this announcement will bring an additional halt at Prasanthi Nilayam and will come into effect on January 1, 2026 in Kalaburagi and January 2, 2026 in SMVT Bengaluru.
The train will now pass through this route to benefit pilgrims, devotees and passengers traveling to and from the region, officials said.
According to the official statement, the schedules of 22231/22232 Kalaburagi-SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express flights have been revised.
“Kalaburagi-SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express No. 22231 will leave Kalaburagi at 6:10 instead of 5:15. On the way, the train will arrive/depart Yadgir at 6:48/6:50, Raichur at 7:38/7:40, Manthralayam Road at 7:58/8. “Guntakal at 09.09.05, Anantapur at 10.03/10.05, followed by a new stop at Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam at 11.00/11.02.” The statement was included.
South Western Railway stated that 22232 SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express will leave Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 2.40 pm as before. The train will reach Yelahanka from SMVT Bengaluru at 15:05/15:07.
A new scheduled stop was initiated at Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam at 16:23/16:25. The statement stated that the train will reach Kalaburagi at 22:45, earlier than the previous 23:30 schedule.
