Israeli consulate LIVE: Istanbul chaos as ‘gunfire’ and armed clashes erupt in Turkey | World | News

It was reported that gunshots were heard during armed clashes in front of the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul on Tuesday.

Turkish media reported that two police officers were injured and three people were “neutralized”. The Minister of Justice confirmed that an investigation had been launched following the attack near the Israeli consulate.

CNN Turk said that the Istanbul Governorship confirmed that one attacker was killed and two attackers were injured and captured. Türkiye’s Interior Minister said one of the attackers “had links to an organization that exploits religion.”
