Israeli police block Latin Patriarch from Palm Sunday mass in Jerusalem

The Latin Patriarch, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and the Rev. Francesco Ielpo were stopped in front of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, believed to be the site of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, where they planned to hold a mass to mark the beginning of Holy Week, church officials said.
