The hosts of Saturday’s “I’ve Had It” podcast agreed that the attempted assassination on President Donald Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, was staged.
Thomas Crooks opened fire at a Trump rally last year, firing eight shots, killing one man, seriously wounding two others and grazing the president’s ear, according to authorities. Crooks, 20, killed a 50-year-old father of two named Corey Comperatore and sent David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74, to the hospital with gunshot wounds. This was one of the most dramatic moments of the 2024 Trump campaign; As Trump bent down to cover himself with the blood visible on the side of his face, he stood up again and raised a defiant fist in the air, chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight!” he shouted.
Jennifer Welch, who laughed when she saw a left-wing activist gloating over the death of TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, spoke with co-host Angie “Pumps” Sullivan about the Butler, PA assassination attempt. Welch argued that not only had the goodwill Trump gained from that moment worn himself out, but the entire incident was likely fiction.

“Frankly, a lot of people were late to the party on this. During the last presidential campaign, a lot of people got drunk on Trump’s campaign. ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ They were intoxicated by his campaign. This is the photo that I will now put on permanent record. “I think he completely orchestrated the assassination,” Welch said.
“So do I,” Pumps replied.
“I watched that. I think he staged it. They took the flag down. They let the press in. I think he staged the whole thing,” Welch continued. “This is just my opinion. Maybe I’ll go to BlueAnon. I don’t care. Damn it. We’re in the middle of Trump 2.0.”
BlueAnon is a slogan parodying QAnon-style conspiracy theories and is used to describe liberals who espouse similarly outlandish conspiracy theories about Republicans.
She went on to criticize podcast host and comedian Andrew Schulz as one of many male-oriented podcasters who have recently begun criticizing Trump.

“But a lot of people like Andrew Schulz have fallen for all this nonsense, and Donald Trump is these guys’ idealized form of masculinity, and they submit to him, they’re subservient to this man. They don’t stand for anything on their own,” Welch said.
The “I Did It” podcast host went on to play multiple clips of Schulz complaining that only a small portion of those deported were violent/sex offenders and that the Trump administration had failed to release the Epstein list.
“If you bring up another pedophile for deportation and you won’t release the Epstein list, y’all just shut up,” he said. “‘Oh, we should deport pedophiles!’ I don’t want to hear anything else about it. They are here! “There is a list of these and you are not disclosing it.”
A White House spokesman said Welch and Pumps were suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“‘I experienced this’ [with] The spokesperson said he has heard sick conspiracies from anonymous liberal podcast hosts who clearly suffer from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Fox News Digital also reached out to Schulz but did not immediately receive a response.
Welch has become a prominent voice in Democratic circles. He has publicly expressed his belief that Democrats need to be more aggressive in their fight against Trump and his supporters. He has also hosted numerous high-profile Democrats on his podcast, including former President Barack Obama, Senator Elizabeth Warren, New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani, and former Vice President Kamala Harris.
