Luis Diaz: Bayern Munich agree deal worth £65.5m with Liverpool for Colombian
Luis Diaz will join Bayern Munich after accepting an agreement worth 75 million euros (£ 65.5 million), including German champions Liverpool and add -ons.
At the beginning of this month, Liverpool rejected the first offer of 58.6 million pounds from Bayern for Colombia.
28-year-old Diaz left Liverpool for the friendly defeat of AC Milan in Hong Kong due to speculation surrounding his future.
In the coming days, Liverpool was given permission to fly from Asia to Europe.
Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike this summer and is interested in Newcastle United’s Alexander Isa.
Diaz came to Porto from Porto to Anfield with an agreement worth 37 million pounds in January 2022, and Reds scored 41 goals in 148 games, including 13 as he won the Premier League championship last season.
17 goals in all competitions in 2024-25 were the most productive season of his career.
Bayern won the title of Bundesliga in 24-25 and scored 99 goals in 99 leagues, but only reached the last 16 of the German Cup and came out of the Champions League in the quarter finals.
Diaz will come to the fore to Jamal Musial for the Bavaria side for a “long time” and offer an attack option for a “long time” after removing his ankle in the Club World Cup.
