Biker dies while being chased by stray dogs in Rayachoti

A driver, who allegedly escaped from chasing stray dogs in the early hours of Monday, December 08, 2025, died by crashing his bike into a wall in Rayachoti.

The deceased, identified as Shaik Fazil (28), was a resident of Galiveedu in Rayachoti town and owned a furniture store on Kadapa Road. According to the police, the deceased was shifting his shop from Kadapa Road to Chittoor Road in the town and left the shop to go home late at night.

At around 2.45am, a group of stray dogs chased him near the Apollo Medical Store at Kent Police Station. Rayachoti Traffic Inspector Kulayappa said, “Fazil panicked and accelerated his bike. He was tending to the dogs, which led to the accident. He fell directly into the compound of a temple located 2 meters below the road level and died on the spot.”

Fazil’s body was taken to Rayachoti Government Hospital for autopsy. A case was registered.
