Jay-Z paternity case dismissed after being accused of abusing legal system for 10 years

The long-running paternity lawsuit against Jay-Z was formally dismissed with prejudice in California on Tuesday.

A woman named Lillie Coley told the court she was the godmother and legal guardian of a man called Rymir Satterthwaite, who could be the son of the music icon, 55.

Satterthwaite’s father, Jay-Z, who was in his early 30s with a woman named Wanda Satterthwaite in the mid-1990s, died in 2019, Coley said.

Coley said the late Wanda Satterthwaite spent almost 20 years trying to get courts in Pennsylvania to New Jersey to establish Jay-Z’s paternity for Rymir Satterthwaite in a domestic relations case, according to legal documents.

However, the case ended with the court’s decision on Wednesday.

Satterthwaite addressed the artist directly and said, ‘Honestly, I have nothing against you.’ I feel like we can figure this out. ‘I never chased you.’

Satterthwaite emphasized that he ‘never chased’ the Numb/Encore artist for fame and influence.

He added: ‘I really want to figure this out. ‘I just want to figure this out and get this done.’
