Jazz Chisholm plays 2B with a Blow Pop in his mouth, a former MLB pitcher is absolutely jacked & Texas MEAT

The sun is coming out after a rainy Monday, the birds are chirping their hearts out, Miss Screencaps’ flowers are EXPLODING at a crazy pace, and life is good after my 14U (only three 14ers on the team) went a nail-biting 6-5 for their second straight win.

But before we get into the recap of the 14U game, let’s go to Detroit, where Jazz Chisholm was at it again last night. This time he made headlines by playing the fifth shot with a Blow Pop in his mouth. From where? I guess he wanted attention and it was the best thing he could think of at that moment.

What would George Steinbrenner think about this? To be fair, the Yankees’ past rules (no beards) are a thing of the past. Maybe the Yankees have gotten so soft, so addicted to Bananas, that Blow Pops are just fine at this point.

Does Aaron Boone have the power to tell players not to Blow Pops while playing defense? Do the Yankees have a leader willing to tell the Jazz no Blow Pops? Should Rob Manfred not abide by the Blow Pop rule as a form of player safety?

ARE TEAMS THAT INSIST ON SINGING ‘SWEET CAROLINE’ DURING MATCHES THE WORST THING IN SPORTS?

Personally, I’d like to see a guy take the hot dog out of his back pocket to right field and eat it during a break. Jazz, make it happen.

Tired of playing golf on Long Island?

– Chris A. interjects: Should any golf courses in New York be considered for another major event? The crowd moves beyond β€œloud” (a favorite Big J word used to describe drunken New York morons) into a derogatory and obscene expression. I hope the USGA and PGA Tour rescind future commitments from Shinnecock and Bethpage and others because of obnoxious “fans” who think everyone is coming to see them.

I’m happy for Knicks fans, but this means they’re going to become even more unbearable.

LINDSEY VONN TAKES THE HEAD BY HER POOL, GISELE ACCEPTS TOM BRADY AND HER RIDICULOUSLY FAKE CRUELTY ON OUR FANS

Kinsey: As I wrote about my experience at the Ryder Cup on Friday, I didn’t hear any idiots yelling things at the players. Apparently Saturday was much worse. Yep, I’m sick of Long Island’s “get in the bunker” bros invading the U.S. Open.

You won’t hear such nonsense when the US Open comes to Toledo in 2045. You’re more likely to hear gunshots than Northwest Ohioans yelling “take shelter.” I still can’t believe Inverness got another Open.

In conclusion, I agree with Golf Channel’s Eamon Lynch. It’s time for the USGA and PGA to take a long break from a part of the country that doesn’t understand how to handle itself. It’s time to bring these events to the heart of America.

Is “Sweet Caroline” the worst of the sporting events?

– Chris B. in Florida can fire up the base with this: Yes. Next question? By the way, we just returned to North Carolina after spending two weeks on the West Coast, and I have to say, the drug and homeless problems in LA, SF, and Portland are greatly exaggerated. There were several occasions where we walked nearly an entire block without spotting someone’s shopping cart fort or even a single wacky 25-year-old kid. Have a great holiday!

14U team update: Men’s win two in a row

Remember those first two weeks of May and June when I was completely confused about how to pull the energy, emotion, and leadership out of the kids? It was the toughest stretch I have ever faced as a baseball coach.

It seemed like the moment to flip the switch last week was when the boys suddenly started screaming and we realized where we were going with the ball defensively. Suddenly, we have four fielders and a catcher talking to each other, challenging each other, and engaged.

The results speak for themselves. Two wins. A 20-6 run lead and a nice 6-5 victory last night allowed 13 kids to come together on a peaceful night to score the win with a triple in the top of the fifth inning, and my catcher, who was not my fastest runner, committed himself to home to make the go-ahead run.

He then had to pitch in the top of the sixth. I was out of shooters. The kid is not a shooter. He throws but he’s not a shooter. Luke, like many of our kids this past week, is turning into a competitor. I need to coach less and let them compete.

Luke comes out at the top of the sixth and lands a 1-2-3 pitch to secure the win. As we all headed home, the smiles on the children’s faces spoke volumes. They deserved these smiles.

Americans begin to fight the pick-up problem at fast food restaurants

What is fraud? At this point in US history, the moment I am asked for 10 cents for a relief fund, I assume I am being scammed. I saw a Reddit post where someone said that fast-food companies were bidding on charities for the opportunity to be featured. I’d like to see proof of this.

Remember Kyle Farnsworth?

Of course, you do it because you know the sport. No one skips arm, back, leg, neck, forearm and shoulder day. Kyle turned 50 in April.

And with that I need to start this day. I need to take a walk in the garden to breathe in the fresh air and clear my mind. It’s time for me to put my head down and work for three more days before I go off the grid. Now is not the time to slide.
