Jeff Brazier was reportedly caught off guard after his sons Bobby and Freddy decided to continue their reality TV show without him.
The Daily Mail revealed in January that the This Morning presenter, 46, had pulled out of the Osbournes-style fly-by-night docu-series after another disagreement with her children.
Sources said ‘ongoing stress’ within the Brazier clan could be the reason for Jeff’s withdrawal from the show.
It was later revealed that Bobby and Freddy planned to continue the project despite their father’s departure.
And now an insider has revealed that Jeff feels ‘blindsided’ and left ‘furious’ by his decisions.
they said Sun: ‘He was actually quite taken off guard when he found out and had a hard time understanding why they would even want to do this without him.

‘What she doesn’t understand is that the boys are now bigger stars than her; It’s a hard pill to swallow. They have a lot to do and it would make great TV.
‘His career has taken a hit recently and this is just the latest blow. He gets pretty annoyed by the whole thing. The last thing he wants is to cause another disaster. They’re all walking on eggshells anyway.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Jeff’s representatives for comment.
Last year, the Daily Mail revealed that Jeff was in talks with ITV about the series, which would follow him and his sons as they deal with their family problems, including his split from wife Kate Dwyer last November.
Freddy also parted ways with his pregnant girlfriend Holly Swinburn, who is expected to give birth within the next three months.
A source close to the show said it would be modeled on groundbreaking reality series The Osbournes, which followed Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon and their children Kelly and Jack between 2002 and 2005.
In recent years, Jeff has gone to war with Jade’s mother, Jackiey Budden, as he believes she is a bad influence.
At one stage she tried to make a legal move to keep her youngest son away from her.
Jeff tried to use complicated court paperwork to keep the aspiring model from seeing Jackiey after blaming her for Freddy’s derailment.
Freddy sided with his grandmother and Jeff later dropped the case.
Elsewhere, in December, Jeff revealed that his seven-year marriage to wife Kate had sadly ended.
He made a lengthy statement on Instagram, announcing that they were going their separate ways and touching on the difficult year they faced due to the breakdown of their relationship with his son Freddy.
He told fans: ‘I am so full of love and gratitude for Kate. For everything we’ve accomplished, for how much we’ve grown, for everything we’ve endured.

‘We broke up in the summer and kept it secret for as long as possible to give us some time to adjust.
‘We have been each other’s safe space for 12 years, each other’s biggest supporters during a time when our lives were busy, painful and complicated.
‘I’m proud of how hard we worked, how we showed up, gave it our all and more.
‘I also have great respect and admiration for the successful career Kate has built and her unconditional care for me.’
