Jeffrey Epstein met Tony Blair at Downing St

It was revealed that Jeffrey Epstein visited former British prime minister Tony Blair in Downing St.
A spokesman for Blair said the former Labor leader recalled his meeting was “less than 30 minutes” and took place “long before” Epstein’s crimes became known.
The BBC reported that the meeting was arranged after recently sacked US ambassador Peter Mandelson sent an email to Jonathan Powell, Blair’s then chief of staff and now national security adviser.
In the letter, Mandelson described Epstein as “a friend” and added that she had “learned from Jeffrey that he was flexible – that he could be here at any time starting Tuesday to accommodate the diary – but obviously needed to know pretty quickly to reschedule.”
The document was released by the National Archives following a Freedom of Information request. Mandelson claimed that former US president Bill Clinton wanted to introduce his “travel companion” Epstein to Blair.
“As far as he can remember, Mr Blair met him in Downing Street for less than 30 minutes in 2002 and discussed US and UK policies,” the spokesman said. he said.
“He never met or spoke to her afterwards.
“Of course, this was long before his crimes were discovered and he was later convicted.”
Epstein, a wealthy and well-connected financier, was found dead in his New York prison cell after investigators ruled he committed suicide following his arrest in 2019.
His ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted in 2021 of helping young girls be sexually abused by Epstein and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
Mandelson was sacked as Britain’s ambassador to the United States in September after scores of emails revealed the depth of his ties to Epstein.
