Jenna Ortega wears sheer purple dress at InStyle Imagemaker Awards

Jenna Ortega turned heads with her latest red carpet look at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards.
The 23-year-old “Wednesday” star took photos at the event in a transparent purple dress with a low-cut neckline and lace detail on the bodice. The skirt had a thigh-high slit, and her flesh-colored underwear was visible through the slightly darker shade of the purple material.
She paired the look with an oversized, furry burgundy jacket, silver high heels, a drop necklace, and a ring on her right hand. She kept her hair and makeup simple, opting for a dark lip with her signature bleached eyebrows and wearing her hair up in a middle part.
Ortega attended the awards ceremony to honor her stylist Enrique Melendez, who received the Future of Fashion Award. In her speech, she stated that Melendez was “one of the first people who made me feel seen or heard.”

“When you grow up in an industry like this, you learn to be a puppet, to stand there and do what you’re told,” Ortega told InStyle magazine. he said. “He always treated everything I said with great importance, respect and care.”
The “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” star has previously spoken out about her career as a child actor, telling The New York Times in August 2024 that “child acting is weird” and that she can understand “why her parents are so hesitant about it.”
Expressing his belief that he would have been a different person if he had never started acting, he continued: “Children shouldn’t work like this. They should climb trees, draw and go to school.”
“When I first started auditioning, we would spend hours in these casting offices and we met a lot of weird and intense personalities. It could be stage parents, it could be producers, who really scared me of other people for a while, and I think that’s when I started to become more introverted,” the “Scream” star said.
“It was so fun to be able to get back to the car at the end of the day and do my homework because I was still going to public school at the time and I could listen to my mom talk and chat with my siblings at home.”

Ortega got her big break playing the creative middle child of a large family on Disney Channel’s “Stuck in the Middle,” but she rose to international fame with her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series “Wednesday.”
This role increased her star power and earned her nominations at the Emmy, SAG, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards.
Although she wasn’t nominated for the 2025 Emmy Awards, Ortega attended as host alongside her “Wednesday” co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones in yet another jaw-dropping outfit. She wore a bold dress adorned with strategically placed gemstones and pearls across her torso and paired it with a black skirt with a thigh-high slit.
She posted photos from the awards ceremony on Instagram and fans flooded the comments section with compliments.
